GUHSD leads the way in instructional excellence by hiring and retaining teachers with the experience and academic credentials to help our students achieve their personal and academic goals.  More than 900 professional educators call GUHSD their instructional home.  We believe learning is a life-long process.  Our instructional staff takes this value to heart.  Forty-five percent of the district's teachers have earned at least a master's degree.  GUHSD teachers benefit from high-quality professional development and training programs offered by the district.

Everything that happens in our classrooms is sustained by an exceptional support staff.  Over 600 individuals work full-time as secretaries and paraprofessionals, business specialists, bus drivers, custodial/maintenance and food service staff to ensure that student needs are met.  An effective, caring and professional staff mirrors the strength and vision of its leaders.  Our district is proud of the instructional leadership in our schools.  A dedicated administrative team ensures success for our students and staff.  Our Governing Board also plays a key role in supporting quality in our schools.  This group of five dedicated, elected officals ensures that our policies and procedures support the vision and mission of our district.
