Students are required to complete three years of social studies, which includes World History/Geography, United States History/Geography, and Civics/Economics.
The Glendale Union High School Social Studies curriculum provides students with the ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of history, geography, economic, political, and social institutions of Arizona, the United States, and the world in order to think critically and participate responsibly in a democratic society. Elective courses may be offered and are determined by local schools. Sociology is offered at Greenway High School and Psychology is offered at Thunderbird High School.
