School Bus Driver | School Bus Assistant
Paid Training is provided to obtain a Commercial Drivers License class B with Passenger endorsement and School Bus endorsement. As well as training to obtain a Arizona Department of Public Safety School Bus Certification.
SCHOOL BUS DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess a current drivers license for one year (class D minimum)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current 39 month MVR required at the time of interview
- Ability to take and pass required Drug screens
- Ability to take and pass required DOT physical exam,
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents and co-workers.
- Ability to speak, read and write English language.
- Ability to work split work schedule. Longer schedules may be available.
SCHOOL BUS ASSISTANT QUALIFICATIONS:
Training is provided to qualified candidates in the specified areas of preference.
- Current Arizona driver's license or state issued I.D
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to learn special methods and procedures for working with disabled students, to include handling equipment required in transporting special needs students -- examples: walkers, braces, wheelchairs, etc.
- Ability to physically lift and move students.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Experience working with special needs children preferred.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with students, coworkers, administrative staff and parents.
- Will be required to submit to drug screenings
- Will be required to submit to an FBI background check
- Ability to work split shifts.
