March 2009 -Greenway's NJROTC recently competed against 18 schools from California in the Area 11 Super Bowl.

The GWHS cadets won a 2nd place trophy in the 16 X 100 yard relay, and cadets Phoebe Gondales, and Ashley Hollowinski were awarded individual medals for placing in the top 10 out of 152 girls in the push up event.

This was a "FIRST" for the cadets of Greenway's NJROTC program to compete at such a "HIGH" level, and a "PRIVILEGE" to be the "ONLY" Navy JROTC school to be invited to represent the state of Arizona.
