November -AP Spanish students from Mrs. Urton and Mrs. Stapp's class participated in a service project with the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program. Thirty-one students interviewed needy families to determine their needs for the holidays.

Without the help of the Salvation Army and volunteer interviewers, these families would not be able to provide Christmas for their young children. Students spent four hours finding out the ages, clothing sizes and gifts that would best fit each child, then entered all of the data into a computer and explained to the clients how they could pick up the gifts for their families.

Representatives from the program were thrilled with the performance of the Moon Valley students, saying that it was the smoothest and most efficient work that had been done all week. The students were able to process 330 families and were invited back next year.
