All nine of our high schools offer Honors courses, Advanced Placement Academies and dual enrollment to receive college credit. Last year alone, GUHSD students earned 7,866 college credits combined, saving them thousands on college tuition. The district also offers the opportunity for students to graduate with an AP International Diploma, a globally recognized achievement. This is a great option for students who plan to study aboard after high school.

Sixth through eighth grade students and their families or those interested in enrolling in Phoenix and Glendale’s premier high school district, are invited to attend Honors and Advanced Placement Academy Night on Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the school’s auditorium. The informational evening will take place in three different locations. See below for further details.

•Honors and Advanced Placement Academy Night for Glendale, Apollo and Independence High Schools will be held at Glendale High School (6216 W. Glendale Ave. Glendale, AZ 85301)

•Honors and Advanced Placement Academy Night for Moon Valley, Cortez and Greenway High Schools will be held at Moon Valley High School (3625 W. Cactus Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85029)

•Honors and Advanced Placement Academy Night for Washington, Sunnyslope and Thunderbird High Schools will be held at Washington High School (2217 W. Glendale Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85021)
