Metrocenter Academy
Now YOU have a second chance to earn your HIGH SCHOOL
DIPLOMA - NOT a GED!
Metrocenter Academy is a
public high school co-sponsored by the Glendale Union High
School District, Communities in Schools of Arizona, and the
Simon Foundation. Students may attend either morning or afternoon
sessions, and may start or end studies at any time during
the year as requirements are met. Students are encouraged
to attend academic and recreational field trips and participate
in job shadowing and career planning activities. Metrocenter
Academy employs enthusiastic, certified teachers and students
receive classroom and computer assisted instruction. Electives
include accounting, computer applications, career internship
and personal development courses. Successful completion of
course requirements leads to a high school diploma - not a
GED.
The admittance requirements include:
- students being ages 17-21
- having at least 10 completed high school credits
- having a true desire to succeed and earn a high school
diploma.
