The amended Arizona tax law (ARS 43-1089.01) allows taxpayers a TAX CREDIT on their state taxes.

The TAX CREDIT maximum contributions are:

• $400 for married couples filing joint returns.

• $200 for single individuals and head of household.

• $200 for married couples filing separate returns.

It is NOT a requirement that the taxpayer have a child enrolled in a public school to donate.

Tax credit donations must be received or postmarked by December 31 of the taxable year for which the credit is claimed. A receipt will be mailed to you (typically in January) for use in preparing your state tax return.

*Please consult your tax advisor if your Arizona Taxable Income is less than $8800. For these taxpayers, the credit received may be reduced.
