McAdams Named Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction
March 2011 - Amanda McAdams, teacher at Apollo High School, was recently selected as a Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction by The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). A role model to pupils, Amanda was nominated by student Shelby Frauen for outstanding dedication and commitment to excellence in the classroom.

Student members of NSHSS have the opportunity to nominate the educator who made the most significant contribution to their academic career. The Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction award recognizes teacher role models who have made a lasting difference in their classroom by encouraging students to strive for excellence.

As an Educator of Distinction, Mrs. McAdams received a certificate and letter of appreciation from Claes Nobel, founder of NSHSS and a member of the family that established the Nobel Prizes.

Mrs. McAdams adds this award to an impressive list of accomplishments, including 2011 Arizona Teacher of the Year. Congratulations, Mrs. McAdams!
