GUHSD Students Excel at Another Congressional Art Competition
May 2011 - Congressman Ben Quayle recently announced five winners for the 30th Annual Congressional Art Competition in Arizona's Third Congressional District. The awards included Best in Painting, Best in Mixed Media, Best in Drawing, Best in Photography, and the overall winner, Best in Show. All five awards were won by GUHSD students, including Best in Show's Clara Kesti. Her piece, "Secret's Out," will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

Congressman Quayle remarked, "Winning the Congressional Art Competition is a big deal. Every day, Members of Congress, Congressional staffers and hundreds of Capitol visitors see the work of Best in Show recipients from around the country. All of this year's winners and participants should be commended for their contributions and hard work."
