District Logo Contest Winner

District Logo Contest Winner
May 2011 -  A district logo contest was held recently as part of the Glendale Union High School District's Centennial.  Students from across the district submitted art work that displayed their vision for a revised logo that would represent GUHSD in a postive way. Over 100 logos were submitted and reviewed by professionals, but Thunderbird High School student Alexis Gutierrez's logo won the judges hearts by a unanimous vote.

The judges described the logo as professional and clean and said that it encompasses a great vision for education. Alexis received a $100 American Express gift card courtesy of Westcor/Arrowhead Town Center and was surprised in class by Governing Board member Vicki Johnson, Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Johnson, Community Relations Administrator Kim Mesquita and Thunderbird administrators

If the district is ever in the position to change the current logo, Alexis Gutierrez's logo will be considered.

GUHSD would like to thank our judges, Kristin Sager from Magical Marketing, Ray Buse from Buse Printing, Brian Combs from GUHSD Print Shop, and Kevin Clayborn, former Governing Board member.
