Board Calls for Bond Election

Board Calls for Bond Election
May 2011 - On May 4, the Governing Board accepted the recommendations to call for a special election of a bond. The recommendations were presented by the Citizens Revenue Generating Committee and were the result of researching the need for capital renovations and improvements. Identified projects are necessary to protect the community's investment in its school facilities.

On May 18, it was recommended that the Governing Board authorize and sign a resolution calling for a special election on November 8, 2011 to submit to the qualified electors of the district the approval of a $80M bond authorization. Further, that the Governing Board authorize the expenditures as may be necessary to order, notice, hold, and administer the special election.

The Board unanimously voted to approve the recommendation and call for the bond election to be held November 8. Click here to view more information on the bond election process.
