January 2018 – The 2018 Pathway to America’s Top Colleges & Universities Night proved a successful event with more than 600 people attending to learn how to navigate their high school experience toward an Ivy League education.

The event, now in its second year, was held January 11 at Moon Valley High School. Representatives from some of the nation’s top colleges and universities were present to speak with interested parents and students. Discussions centered on the admissions process, financing opportunities, scholarships, and specifically how GUHSD schools will assist students during each year of their high school experience to set their path toward higher education. Families were also able to meet one-on-one with representatives and alumni to learn more about their experiences and have their questions and concerns answered.

In total, information from 35 different top schools were available to families.

Representatives from the following institutions were on hand to provide further information:

  • Duke University

  • Princeton University

  • Yale College

  • UCLA
