This is the image for the news article titled Teachers Engage in Summer Professional Development Workshops May 2019 – Although students are out of school for the summer, teachers of the Glendale Union High School District are still hard at work, prepping for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year! As part of the district’s ongoing commitment to academic achievement, teachers from across the district will be partaking in professional development workshops throughout the summer.

These workshops will cover specific department topics ranging from Algebra to Foreign Language to Visual Arts. Teachers gather to reflect on the past school year and to strategize, all while implementing new plans that will ensure an even better, successful school year.

In addition, GUHSD’s curriculum coordinators from all academic disciplines will be meeting with teachers to share best practices and innovative strategies to improve teaching methods. They will assess and evaluate current programs and make any and all necessary revisions to the curriculum.

Our educators, curriculum coordinators and district are committed to continually striving to improve teaching strategies and practices so that our students are well-equipped to enter postsecondary opportunities and careers after graduation.

Our Schools. Our Community. Our Commitment. #WeAreGUHSD
