The annual tradition provided the opportunity to thank all GUHSD faculty and support staff for their outstanding contributions and commitment to the district and its students and families.

The celebration was divided into two different sessions; one to honor over 800 GUHSD teachers and the other to recognize more than 700 GUHSD support staff employees. The GUHSD Choir teachers opened up the faculty session with a fantastic performance of the National Anthem. Meanwhile, new Apollo Title 1 Assistant and JV Football Coach Amber Dirks kicked off the support staff session with a powerful rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner. During both performances, the Greenway NJROTC Color Guard was present to post the colors.

Afterwards, each group had the privilege of hearing from GUHSD Governing Board President Patty Kennedy and Superintendent Brian Capistran. In addition, the teacher group heard from Glendale Union Education Association President Amber Gould.

During the faculty celebration, those in attendance enjoyed some live entertainment from a district teacher band. Selected competitors from both sessions also participated in a fun, interactive minute-to-win-it game.

Glendale Union High School District is motivated, ready and excited for the 2019-2020 school year!
