Marilyn is in her 12th year working for Glendale Union High School District.  Marilyn was originally hired in 1999 to the position of School Secretary at Washington High school by Principal Sid Baily.  After 3 years in that position, Marilyn has since then become an integral part of the budget office as the Administrative Assistant to the Administrator for Finance and legislative affairs for the past 9 years.   Marilyn has truly taken her job to the next level.  The districts finance department is an extremely busy office, especially today as they work harder than ever to account for every dollar and work to insure that they get everything they can out of our limited resources.   Marilyn has excelled in her job displaying exceptional ability and talent performing the various operations necessary to keep the district running efficiently and accurately.  She is a tremendous asset to the local schools especially the Assistant Principals for Operations as they have questions and concerns almost daily regarding their budget balance and the use of their limited resources.

Mr. Lou Weigand the Director of Business Operations stated “One of Marilyn’s greatest qualities are she is always so calm and polite with everyone.  She is always helpful and considerate to others which makes her a great person to be around”.

Brad Nassif the district Administrator of Accounting describes her as “Quiet Excellence”, “She excels at what she does in the finance office, yet her demeanor is quiet and reserved.” Her work ethic is such that she is always willing to get the job accomplished and is always willing to do more than her part.”

Mr. Jim Threadgill, Administrator for Operations and Athletics states, “Marilyn is a true professional.  Her supportive work ethic combined with her positive and friendly attitude makes her a pleasure to work with.”

Marilyn always makes herself available and truly practices the belief that the district office is here to serve our schools and to insure that they have the resources they need to carry on their operations.  She approaches her job in a very positive and professional manner.  She is very dependable and loyal to the district.  She continually looks for ways to improve her job and the jobs of others as they interact with the finance department.
