GHS Centennial Wraps Up with Parade and Homecoming Game
October 2011- Glendale High School's week-long centennial celebration ends Friday with multiple events both on- and off-campus.

The day begins with Glendale High's homecoming parade at 1 p.m. down Glendale Avenue. This Cardinal-style celebration will begin at Cerretas Candy Factory and end at GHS.

At 3 p.m., a time-capsule will be lowered, filled with memorable artifacts from the past 100 years after a proclamation from the Mayor of Glendale.

For those alumni who purchase tickets, a tailgate party will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Heatwole Plaza. For five dollars, those in attendance will receive a hot dog or hamburger, chips, and a drink.

The homecoming game against Flagstaff High School begins at 7 p.m. Regular admission is $7, but special on-field tickets are also available for $25 at the GHS web store (ghs100.com).

After the game, a dance will be held for those alumni that are 21 and older at the Glendale Civic Center from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Everyone is encouraged to attend what is sure to be an exciting celebration. Don't miss out!
