Glendale's Julie Patton Named Regional Athletic Director of the Year
February 2012- Glendale High School’s Assistant Principal of Operations and Resources, Julie Patton, was recently named the Black Canyon Region Athletic Director of the Year by her peers in the region.

This award is given each year to the athletic director whom the other directors feel has put in the extra effort to make his or her school exceptional. Currently, all nine GUHSD high schools fall within the Black Canyon Region.

Ms. Patton is being recognized for her hard work in putting together Glendale High’s centennial celebration. This four day event brought GHS alumni from around the country back to the school they once called home and paid homage to one of the oldest schools in Arizona.  Ms. Patton and her committee were predominantly responsible for the success of this event, spending numerous hours planning and coordinating each detail.

Along with seven other regional directors of the year, Ms. Patton will now be in the running for the 4A Conference Athletic Director of the Year award, which is decided upon later this year.

Congratulations, Julie Patton!
