GUHSD Honored at Event for Advanced Placement Districts

GUHSD Teachers Attend College Board's AP Conference
This is the image for the news article titled GUHSD Teachers Attend College Board's AP ConferenceJuly 2013- Nine GUHSD AP teachers, one AP student and Superintendent Gene Dudo recently attended the College Board's Advanced Placement Annual Conference in Las Vegas.

During the three-day conference, our AP educators learned about methods to increase access to AP coursework. They also had the opportunity to network and share best practices with other AP educators from around the nation. 300 different sessions were offered to increase professional development geared towards promoting Advanced Placement education.

Thunderbird AP U.S. History teacher, Jonathan Parker and Sunnyslope AP student, Claire Davis, were invited to speak at the event on behalf of Glendale Union High School District. Both were chosen to represent GUHSD because of the district's Advanced Placement District of the Year honor.
