Onsite Online Learning Option

Onsite Online Learning Option

The onsite online learning option, per the Governor’s Executive Order, will be available to meet the needs of students who receive Special Education Services, or students who are English Language Learners (ELL), or students in the care of the Department of Child Safety, or students who qualify for Free & Reduced Lunch. While the onsite online learning option is intended to meet the needs of the students listed above, the Executive Order requires that this accommodation be available to every student.

The onsite online learning option will be available starting August 17, 2020.

o Instruction will be provided virtually; your student’s teacher will NOT be physically present.

o A school employee will be there to provide supervision.

o District and school safety measures, in keeping with guidelines from the Maricopa County Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control, will be followed. All students will be required to answer health check screening questions, wear a mask and physically distance.

The standard school schedule of 8:00 a.m. - 2:35 p.m. will be in effect whether the student receives virtual instruction at home or on campus.

o Breakfast and lunch service will be provided, for those students who qualify for the Free Lunch Program by the school cafeteria. Students on the Reduced Price Program or who do not qualify for the program will be charged for breakfast and lunch.

Students who qualify for transportation through the Special Education Program will receive transportation services.

o Students will need to bring their fully-charged Chromebook, earbuds/headphones and class materials. Students will be supplied with earbuds if they can’t provide their own.

o Students will need to bring a completed COVID-19 Waiver, Release and Assumption of Risk Form in order to attend.
