Governing Board Meeting Information
Glendale Union High School District has five school board members who serve a four-year term. The Governing Board meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Meetings are usually located in the *Board Room of the district office located at 7650 N 43rd Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85301.
Notices of the Governing Board meetings are physically posted at the District Office and are posted electronically under the Meeting Dates below.

Patty Kennedy, President
Patty Kennedy, a dedicated member of the GUHSD community, was elected in November 2010. Having graduated from Moon Valley High School, she shares a strong connection with the school, as her two children and several other family members also attended. Patty generously dedicated her time as a volunteer for Moon Valley’s Theatre Program. Apart from her active involvement in the educational realm, she is an ardent gardener with a special passion for cacti. Leveraging her extensive experience as an accountant, Patty has served as the CFO for a local law firm, bringing her financial expertise to the organization.

Laura Arita, Clerk
Laura Arita began serving the Glendale Union High School District as a governing board member in January of 2021. She is a first-generation Glendale High School and Phoenix College graduate, who earned an associate degree in global business. Ms. Arita and her husband are proud parents of two elementary-aged children and a Glendale High School graduate. She is an employee for the Glendale Elementary School District and has served as an active volunteer for the Glendale and Phoenix communities since the mid-1990s.

Patti Hussey
Patti Hussey has been involved with the Glendale Union High School District for more than 30 years. Her two children are graduates of Apollo High School, where she first began as a volunteer in 1996 and spent many of those years very active in the parent booster club. Ms. Hussey volunteers with the Citizens for Quality Education group and is a licensed real estate broker and owner of a real estate property management company. Her term began in 2017.

Pam Reicks
Pam Reicks was elected in November 2008. She graduated from Trevor Browne High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. She is a teacher in the Washington Elementary School District and is a proud parent of a Moon Valley High School graduate. Ms. Reicks has been an education advocate and a volunteer in the community for many years.

Natalie Veidmark
Natalie Veidmark is a lifelong member of the GUHSD community. As a graduate of Thunderbird High School, she and her husband chose to send their four children to Thunderbird as well. Aside from graduating from Westmont College in California, Natalie has been an active member in the North Phoenix community, serving in the North Mountain Business Alliance, National Charity League of Moon Valley, North Valley chapter of Boys Team Charity, Trinity Bible Church Children’s Ministry, Young Life, and the parent organizations at her neighborhood schools. She and her husband are part of their family-owned underground construction business.
