Saih Gonzalez went undefeated and took first place in the Region for Chess. He also won the biggest upset by defeating his opponent with a rating of over 500 points greater than his. He is the first player from Glendale High School to ever to win the region. He qualifies along with Alejandro Alvarez who was 13th in the region for the Individual State Tournament Nov. 18th and 19th at Coconino High School.
