Physics students have decided to put their learning into action. Physics students were lucky enough to get paired up with a special needs student to really apply their knowledge and skills. After studying forces and free fall, students were tasked to create a device that would increase drag force in order to decrease acceleration of a falling object. In addition, students were tasked within that same device to also create a function that would increase the time in which the normal force acted in order to decrease that force. With these two components, students attempted to save an egg from being dropped from the top of our stadium (60m high). They had a success rate of 85%!
