Greenway is extremely proud of our two National Semifinalists, Daniel Tang and James Steward. To be considered for the Merit Scholarship award, semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of the competition. 

To become a Finalist, an application is submitted with information that provides the student's academic record, including a history of participation in school and community activities. The student must also show evidence demonstrating leadership ability, employment, and honors and awards received. 

This program honors the nation's scholastic champions and encourages their pursuit of academic excellence. 

National Merit Scholarship winners of 2024 will be announced in four nationwide news releases beginning in April and concluding in July. These scholarship recipients will join nearly 375, 000 other distinguished young people who have earned the Merit Scholar title.
