LaceUp Game

Varsity Softball hosted their annual Go4theGoal Lace Up Game Monday night at Slope.

The annual event raises money for pediatric cancer relief and research. This year, the first pitch was thrown by six year-old Haley Snowden. The announcer read the following statement as Haley took the mound:

In October of 2020, at the age of 2, Haley was diagnosed with leukemia. Leukemia is a blood cancer and is the most common type of cancer in children. While leukemia is treatable, the process is a tough, long road. Haley successfully underwent two and a half years of chemotherapy at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. She happily rang the bell on December 23, 2022 to celebrate her victory against this horrible disease. Haley is now 5 years old and is simply thriving! She loves school and wants to be a doctor who helps children when she gets older. Haley’s family is grateful for organizations who support pediatric cancer patients and their families. We are so grateful that Haley is a pediatric cancer survivor and can be here today to throw out the first pitch!
