CORTEZ NOVEMBER ROUND UP

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope this message finds you well. As the month of November draws to a close, I want to take a moment to express our gratitude and share some exciting updates from our school.

First, a heartfelt thanks to our exceptional teachers. Their dedication and expertise play a crucial role in providing your teen with an outstanding high school education and support. If your teen is facing any academic challenges, please explore the additional resources we offer. Teachers are available for extra support before and after school, as well as on Wednesday mornings during their Extra Opportunity Period (EOP). Additionally, the media center is open after school for further assistance. Please reach out to your son’s/daughter’s counselor for additional assistance.

We are also thrilled to celebrate the community service events that our students and staff have been involved with this month. We had over 80 student and staff volunteers for our first Adopt-A-Street clean-up on November 3rd. We have NHS students volunteer their time every Wednesday from 8:00-8:55 in our clothing closet available to all students in need of clothing and lastly, we are proud to be partnering with Borderlands Produce on Wheels Without Waste, also known as: P.O.W.W.O.W. Please CLICK HERE for information and dates regarding the Borderlands program.

Our gratitude extends to you, the parents and guardians, whose support is invaluable to our teachers and the school’s overall success. Today we had a school-wide celebration with an hour-long lunch filled with games, music, and ice cream. This celebration was to acknowledge the hard work and commitment from students and staff for being recognized by the Arizona Department of Education as an "A" rated school.

We wish you a joyous holiday season and eagerly anticipate more achievements to share in the coming times.

Sincerely,

Principal Parsons
