ParentSquare is a unified communications platform. Scottsdale Unified School District, your child’s school, and teachers use ParentSquare to communicate with families. This includes emergency messages as well as everyday information closely related to the school’s educational mission. It provides a safe way for administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, and parents to:

• Send and receive school and class information
• Share pictures and files
• See calendar items
• Sign up to volunteer
• Schedule parent-teacher conferences
• and much more… all in one centralized place!

Yes. All parents and/or guardians are automatically registered to receive notifications through ParentSquare when they enroll their student. ParentSquare is the primary tool for district and school communication. Individuals who do not activate their account in ParentSquare will still receive an email digest at the end of each day that communication is sent out to them. In the event of emergencies, phone calls and text messages will be sent as well.

To opt-out of receiving notifications, you can:

• Fill out and return the opt-out form to your school office, or
• Contact your school office with your email and cell phone number

You can also opt-out of:

• Emails: Click the Unsubscribe link in any email you receive
• Text Messages: Click the Opt-Out link in the first text message you receive from ParentSquare. You can also reply STOP to any subsequent text you receive.

*Please note that even if you opt-out of receiving communication, you will still receive notifications for emergencies and other school information deemed important, such as attendance.

If you need to update your contact information, please complete your Back to School forms in ParentVUE/StudentVUE. Verify that each of your children has the same email address, mobile phone number, and address listed for you.

Yes! In addition to using ParentSquare’s online portal, you can download the FREE ParentSquare app to your iPhone or Android mobile device through the App Store or Google Play Store.

No worries, the process is easy! Families can log into the ParentSquare website or download the app using the email address or cell phone number that they provided to their child’s school. Once you are logged in, you can set notification preferences and make sure you are ready to communicate with GUHSD.
