BACK TO SCHOOL CELEBRATION

GUHSD Hosts Annual Back‑to‑School Celebration for Teachers & Staff
Glendale Union High School District officially welcomed hundreds of teachers and support staff at its annual Back to School Celebration, hosted this year at Thunderbird High School before the start of the 2025–2026 school year.
Leadership and teachers from all high schools, the district office, and support staff employees gathered to energize staff for a year of growth and opportunity. GUHSD is proud to serve nearly 16,000 students across its Glendale/Phoenix‑area schools.
New Superintendent Matt Belden officially concluded the event by sharing his vision for a district focused on continuous improvement and keeping the promise of their potential.
The celebration wrapped just in time for GUHSD’s first day of school: Monday, August 4, 2025, marking the official start of an exciting academic year ahead.
As GUHSD proudly proclaims through its social outreach and internal signage: #GUHSDPromise, ensuring every teacher and every staff member is equipped to bring out the best in each student.
Here’s to a year built on promise, collaboration, and student potential!
