Natalie Veidmark is a lifelong member of the GUHSD community. As a graduate of Thunderbird High School, she and her husband chose to send their four children to Thunderbird as well. Aside from graduating from Westmont College in California, Natalie has been an active member in the North Phoenix community, serving in the North Mountain Business Alliance, National Charity League of Moon Valley, North Valley chapter of Boys Team Charity, Trinity Bible Church Children’s Ministry, Young Life, and the parent organizations at her neighborhood schools. She and her husband are part of their family-owned underground construction business. Her term as a board member began in January of 2023.

Patty Kennedy has been a dedicated member of the GUHSD community for most of her life and was elected to the Board in November 2010.  She graduated from Moon Valley High School and shares a strong family connection with that school as her two children and many cousins, nieces, and nephews are also alumni. Patty has been an accountant for many, many years and is currently the CFO for a small local law firm.  In her spare time, she loves to garden and spend as much time as possible with her three awesome grandsons.

Laura Ramirez began serving the Glendale Union High School District as a governing board member in January of 2021. She is a first-generation Glendale High School and Phoenix College graduate who earned an associate degree in global business. Ms. Ramirez is a proud parent of one elementary-aged child, a current GUHSD high school student, and a Glendale High School graduate. She is a tenured employee of the Glendale Elementary School District and has volunteered actively for the Glendale and Phoenix communities since the mid-1990s.

Patti Hussey has been involved with the Glendale Union High School District for more than 30 years. Her two children are graduates of Apollo High School, where she first began as a volunteer in 1996 and spent many of those years very active in the parent booster club. Ms. Hussey volunteers with the Citizens for Quality Education group and is a licensed real estate broker and owner of a real estate property management company. Her term began in 2017.

Paul Ulan began serving on the GUHSD Governing Board in 2025. An Arizona native and 25-year resident of the district, he and his wife, Gail, are proud parents of four children, who all graduated from Sunnyslope High School. As the owner of a consulting company, Mr. Ulan has over 30 years of experience supporting Arizona’s public schools through volunteer work, committee leadership, and advocacy for school funding. He has served on several boards, including the Arizona Business Education Coalition, Arizona Racing Commission, and Masters of Coin. Mr. Ulan enjoys family activities and participating in local running events in his free time, having completed over 75 half and three marathons.
