Excellence in Action: Jaydi Bricker & James Chandler Named National Merit Semifinalists

Glendale Union High School District is proud to announce that Jaydi Bricker and James Chandler, seniors at Thunderbird High School, have been named Semifinalists in the prestigious 2025–2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Jaydi and James are among the 16,000 students nationwide who earned this honor based on their outstanding performance on the 2024 PSAT. This accomplishment places them in the top 1% of U.S. high school seniors, reflecting their academic excellence, dedication, and hard work.

As Semifinalists, Jaydi and James now have the opportunity to continue in the competition for one of nearly 6,930 National Merit Scholarships, worth a total of almost $26 million. These scholarships recognize students who demonstrate exceptional academic ability and the potential for success in rigorous college studies.

Their recognition exemplifies the Glendale Union High School District's mission to empower all students for the choices and challenges of the twenty-first century.
