GUHSD High Schools Earn an “A” Rating

The Glendale Union High School District is proud to share that all nine of our comprehensive high schools have earned an “A” rating from the Arizona Department of Education. This is the highest rating a school can receive, reflecting excellence in student learning, academic progress, and preparation for life after high school.

The “A” rating is based on several measures that show how students are growing and achieving. These include overall academic performance, progress toward graduation, and indicators of college and career readiness. These readiness measures can include taking advanced coursework, earning college credit, participating in Career and Technical Education programs, gaining real-world work experience, and performing well on college entrance exams.

This accomplishment reflects the shared efforts of our students, teachers, staff, and our supportive families and community. Our students show up and work hard each day. Our teachers bring skill, consistency, and purposeful instruction to their classrooms. Our families and community partners reinforce learning and help build a strong foundation for student success.

In GUHSD, we are committed to preparing students for college, career, and life. The results confirm that our students are growing and achieving and that our shared work continues to make a meaningful difference in their futures.
