PARENT UNIVERSITY 2026

Supporting Families, Strengthening Students: Parent University
The Glendale Union High School District (GUHSD) is proud to share information about this school year’s Parent University series: an initiative created to help families stay informed, connected, and prepared as their teens navigate high school. Beginning January 2026, several GUHSD campuses will host evening workshops that address real issues affecting today’s students, all led by trusted professionals who bring firsthand expertise to each topic.
Parent University aims to create a welcoming space where families can learn practical strategies, ask questions, and gather resources they can use at home. Each event will also include information booths from partner agencies, giveaways, and on-site Spanish translators so every family can fully participate.
What Families Will Experience
Rather than a single presentation, Parent University brings together a variety of supports in one place, including:
- Insightful presentations from experts in cyber safety, sextortion prevention, substance-use trends, and trafficking awareness.
- Community resource tables offering materials, giveaways, and additional guidance from partnering organizations.
- Door prizes that add a fun and engaging conclusion to each event.
- Spanish interpretation, ensuring families of all language backgrounds feel supported and included.
