CELEBRATING STUDENT SUCCESS

GUHSD Celebrates Student Success at 2026 Student Achievement Report
The Glendale Union High School District Governing Board hosted its annual Student Achievement Report on Wednesday, October 7, at Greenway High School. The event brought together parents, students, support staff, feeder school representatives, community representatives, teachers, and district Cabinet members to celebrate student accomplishments and learn more about the district’s academic achievements during the 2025–2026 school year.
Curriculum and Instruction Department coordinators led the presentation, highlighting GUHSD’s commitment to academic excellence and student success and providing an overview of the Portrait of a Graduate and the district’s approach to Work-Based Learning. These initiatives help guide students in developing the knowledge, skills, and experiences they need to succeed.
Attendees learned about the district’s academic accomplishments, college credit attainment, career and technical education, and scholarships. During the 2025–2026 school year, 2,973 GUHSD students enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) courses and earned 5,882 college credits. Through Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, students also earned 1,418 industry credentials, demonstrating their preparation for future career opportunities. Additionally, the Class of 2026 earned more than $121 million in scholarships, with numerous students recognized as Dorrance and QuestBridge Scholars.
Student involvement was central to the event. Culinary students from Apollo and Moon Valley High Schools assisted with plating and serving, while the Greenway High School Orchestra performed as guests gathered. The district recognized and thanked students from Choir, Orchestra, Hospitality, and ROTC for contributing their time and talents and helping make the event a success.
The annual Student Achievement Report gives GUHSD an opportunity to share student accomplishments with its community while highlighting the programs, partnerships, and educational experiences that support student growth. Through its continued focus on academic excellence and career readiness, GUHSD remains committed to preparing every student for success in college, career, and life.
