Apollo Art Student Wins Grand Prize in ADE Art Contest
January 2012- Apollo High School art student Kris Amador recently won the grand prize in the Arizona Department of Education's "Arizona: 100 Years of Art and Education" contest.

Kris' pen and ink drawing, "The Grand Scheme of Things," was chosen out of over 70 entries for one of the top three awards. His prize includes $500 and a separate $500 for his school. The winning piece will be on display in the Arizona Department of Education building for the next few months.
