Cortez NJROTC Receives Oustanding Rating in Annual Military Inspection
January 2012- Cortez High School's NJROTC cadets, instructed by Chief Warrant Officer Dan Vass and Command Master Chief Steve Bowes, were visited by Phoenix's Navy Recruiting District Commanding Officer, Commander Derek Wessman, for their annual military inspection.

Each of the unit's 124 cadets was carefully inspected head-to--toe by Commander Wessman, who scored them on their adherence to uniform and appearance guidelines.  The entire unit then performed a pass-in-review, where Commander Wessman assessed their skills gained throughout the year.

The unit was given an overall score of outstanding upon completing the inspection. Several cadets were also given individual honors and awards. Congratulations Cortez NJROTC!
