GUHSD Placed on the College Board's AP District Honor Roll

GUHSD Receives Honor from College Board for Advanced Placement Program
AP District Honor Roll

November 2012
- Glendale Union High School District is one of only three districts in the state to be honored by the College Board with placement on the 3rd Annual AP District Honor Roll. 539 school districts in the U.S. and Canada received this recognition for simultaneously increasing access to Advanced Placement course work, while also increasing the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher on AP Exams. Achieving both of these goals indicates the district is successfully identifying motivated, academically prepared students, who are likely to benefit from rigorous AP course work. Since 2010, GUHSD has increased the number of students participating in AP courses by 11.1%. GUHSD has also improved the percentage of students earning AP Exam scores of 3 or higher by 37.7%.

"We are honored to be one of only three districts in Arizona to be recognized as an AP District Honor Roll. This honor is made possible by the talented and dedicated professionals who work with our exceptional students each and every day. We appreciate the support of the parents, the community, and the GUHSD governing board, who believe in raising academic standards for all students," said Eugene Dudo, Superintendent.
