All nine district student councils participated in this one-day event to show their school spirit, share ideas on how to better their schools through student leadership and to volunteer at local organizations.

The highlight of the day were the acts of volunteerism that the students showed. Together, over 250 students volunteered at 16 different organizations including local elementary schools and Helen Drake Senior Center. These were great examples of how our students accomplished more than 86,000 volunteer hours during the 2017-2018 and how they continue to give back to their community.

Other activities that took place during the convention were dance, band and spiritline performances, hearing words from a guest speaker and hosting an inclusive talent show.

We’re proud of our students for shaping the future leaders of tomorrow through their efforts of volunteerism, time and commitment.
