CounselingAugust 2018 - It's never too early to start preparing for your child's future. Glendale Union High School District adheres to this statement by committing to academic achievement and preparing college ready students. GUHSD counselors are beginning to take action to set students up for success with four-year plans.

Four-year plans are structured outlines made individually for GUHSD students. Starting at their freshman year, students are guided throughout their high school experience to help them reach their academic goals. Counselors will look at students' future college and career goals and work to create a four-year plan that will get them where they want to be.

While following their four-year plan, students will complete numerous steps and activities to ensure their success. This includes earning college credits while in high school, utilizing the career enter, extracurricular/sports participation, volunteering, taking the SAT/ACT, applying for scholarships and much more. Students will even be provided with opportunities to travel to major college campuses to help determine their university of preference.

GUHSD looks forward to assisting parents and freshman students this fall to organize their unique four-year plans and encourage them to succeed.
