U.S. News Lauds GUHSD High Schools
December 2007, U.S. News & World Report—in collaboration with School Evaluation Services, a K-12 education and data research and analysis business that provides parents with education data on schoolmatters.com— analyzed academic and enrollment data from more than 18,000 public high schools to find the very best across the country. Glendale Union led the state by having more high schools ranked among the top in the nation than any other district in Arizona. The magazine's first annual list of American's top public high schools ranked Cortez, Glendale, Moon Valley, Sunnyslope, Thunderbird and Washington high schools for having academic programs geared toward college preparation and consistently receiving high marks.
