March 2010 - In 1994, IHS started a Renaissance program that is called the Patriot Pride Program Club. In those 16 years, this program has honored more than 18,000 students.

Students who have good grades along with good citizenship and perfect attendance.
  • 55 students have all "A's"
  • 200 have "A" and "B's"
  • 329 have "C's" or better
  • 88 have perfect attendance

Total - 672 students

Twice a year the P-3 program brings together students who have earned "C's" or better and good conduct for a celebration. They feast on treats and juice while receiving T-shirts, pins, coupons and door prizes.

The P-3 team is made up of students, faculty, administrators and staff.

This year for the celebration the Navy Seal Parachute Team, the Leap Frogs dropped in from the sky and landed on the Independence football field. They all introduced themselves to the students and answered questions. The students got to help the Navy Seals wrap up their parachutes.
